Book - The Ashford Book of Rigid Heddle Weaving

Rigid Heddle weaving is a particular type of weaving using a small loom manufactured by the Ashford company in New Zealand. The company has a long history, with its founder starting a mail order business selling handmade stools suitable to sit by a fireplace that customers could assemble on their own, which led to a line of spinning wheel kits and eventually the loom. Ashford designer Rowena Hart shows how to use the loom for cloaks, rugs, cushions, tapestries, cotton towels, Leno lace, and using Japanese shibori.
