Book - Ethnic Socks and Stockings

First, an apology. This is listed in several places on our site, including under "Nordic patterns." These are NOT Nordic, but rather from Eastern Europe. But my thought is that folks looking for Nordic designs might realize that Eastern European designs are also fascinating, with some similar motifs. Author Priscilla Gibson-Roberts has researched historic designs and come up with 26 patterns, plus the history behind them. To start with, most of these patterns start at the toe, not at the top, which is common in Western European designs. But there is lots more in this fascinating book. 120 pages.
