A Granny Square scarf

Granny Square:

MOTIF: With first color, ch 4, join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as one dc), 2 dc in ring, ch 3, (3 dc in ring, ch 3) 3 times, join last ch 3 to top of ch 3 at beg of rnd, sl st to next sp. End off.
Rnd 2: Join 2nd yarn with a sl st in a ch-3 sp; ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same sp, (ch 2, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc in next sp) 3 times, ch 2, join to top of ch 3. Sl st to next sp.
Rnd 3: Using same yarn, ch-3 sp; ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same space, (ch 2, 3 dc in next space, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc in next corner sp) 3 times, ch 2, join to top of ch 3. Sl st to next sp.
Rnd 4: Using same yarn, ch 3 sp; ch3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same sp, *(ch 2, 3 dc in next sp) twice, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc in corner sp, repeat from asterisk twice, ch 2 join to top of ch 3. Sl st to next space. End off.
Rnd 5/6: 2 rows of single crochet in first yarn.

Each square will be approximately 7 inches. Sew together with a single crochet stitch for scarf of desired length. Finish with two rows of single crochet around circumference of scarf.
